Since we started our company, we have always cared about doing business in a conscious and unselfish manner. We have dedicated time, energy and funds to the support of some wonderful organizations such as the Surfrider Foundation (www.surfrider.org), Children of the Americas (www.americaschildren.org) and Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society (www.oceanfutures.org). On the manufacturing side, we are proud to say that we have built a fantastic facility which mostly employs head of household women in Cali, Colombia. In our processes we have made sure to be protective about the environment. We use FSC approved printing facilities, solar powered internet hosting through www.aiso.net, and organic cotton and Oeko-Tex certified fabrics. We are making a big effort to only use suppliers who can do business as responsibly as we do. And we will continue to do so.
La Isla 360 is a program we are launching this year to support those in need. Every time someone purchases a La Isla tee, we will donate one of our 360 tees to someone who needs an article of clothing. We will be doing a lot of work with homeless shelters and children’s organizations. We also have a street team dedicated to the distribution of these tees. So when you shop at La Isla, you can be assured that you are doing something good for this planet—good that is so dearly needed!
